States in this build
47 listings were checked against the organization's own website on October 24, 2026. The rest were copied from United Spay Alliance files and are labeled that way. Feline Fix by Five rows are private practices, not low-cost clinics.

Cities with the most listings
These 20 cities have the largest number of sourced listings. A city with fewer than three listings is still linked from its state page.
Browse by what you need
Low-Cost Spay and Neuter
Clinics and programs listed for spay or neuter surgery. A listing here means the source described that service. It does not mean the clinic is the cheapest option, or that an appointment is open.
Low-Cost Vaccine Clinics
Places whose public listing mentions vaccines or a vaccine clinic. Rabies rules are set locally. Ask which vaccines are in the visit and whether a certificate is included.
Full-Service Low-Cost Care
Listings that mention wellness, exams, or basic medical care in addition to surgery. Many of these clinics still turn away emergencies and limit which conditions they treat. Read the clinic page before you go.
Vet School Teaching Clinics
Hospitals at AVMA-accredited veterinary colleges in the states this directory covers. Students work under faculty supervision. These hospitals are not automatically low-cost. Ask about community or accessible-care programs, and expect specialty pricing unless a fee schedule says otherwise.
Nonprofit and Shelter Clinics
Humane societies, SPCAs, and other organizations whose own pages, or the directory entry, identify them as nonprofits or shelters. Nonprofit does not always mean free.
Spay and Neuter Voucher Programs
Programs the source labeled as a voucher. A voucher is not the same thing as a low-cost clinic, and it is not proof that funding is open this month. Read the clinic page and call before you travel.
TNR Programs
Listings the source described as trap-neuter-return or a TNR program. That is community-cat surgery, not a walk-in clinic for every pet.
Feline Fix by Five Vets
Private veterinary practices the United Spay Alliance map lists as Feline Fix by Five participants. Participation is not a low-cost clinic designation. PawFare does not add a discount the map did not print. If the same row also says the practice offers low-cost spay/neuter, that is shown separately.
What we will not invent
- No clinic is added because it “should” exist. If a phone, price, or hour was not on the source, the field is empty.
- Prices stay tied to the page or PDF that printed them, with that date.
- Teaching hospitals are listed as teaching hospitals. They are not labeled cheap unless their own page says so.
- Feline Fix by Five is a private-practice program. Those listings are not labeled low-cost unless the same source also says so.
- A featured badge is a paid placement. None are sold in this build, so none are badged.
Practical guides
- How to find free or low-cost spay and neuterWhere low-cost spay and neuter actually shows up, what to ask before you book, and why a published price still has to be confirmed.
- How vet financing works, without the sales pitchCareCredit, Scratchpay, and pet insurance are different products. None of them is a coupon, and PawFare does not have affiliate IDs for them yet.
- State Voucher ProgramsWhat a spay/neuter voucher is, what New York publishes about its population-control program, and why California, Texas, Florida, and Pennsylvania are not listed as one statewide benefit.
- What to check before you book a low-cost clinicA short list for the call or the booking form, so a sourced listing does not turn into a wasted trip.
